A suitable substitute? And a couple lust-worthy pieces...

I am in LOVE, LOVE, LOVE with these:

However, at $150 Each, they're way more than I'm willing to spend at the moment (although I've been lusting over aluminum side tables like these for about a year now). I recently found these on Ebay, and I think they might be a reasonable replacement:

The picture is kinda craptastic, but I like that I get a similar shape, but with a bit of a Morroccan feel. Another bonus: Only $130 for the pair. Thoughts?

Now on to some little beauties:

Lust me! This little beauty is a steal (as long as no one drives up the price), and would look amazing sitting on top of a stack of books, on a console table, as a centerpiece...

Lust me! I see this painted orange, hung on my turquoise wall. I'm talking BRIGHT orange.

I think I'm in lust...

This first item might be a bit of an aquired taste, but I find myself obsessed with all things lucite at the moment...lucite tables, lucite lamps, lucite chairs, lucite couches...

For our next drool-worthy piece, we have a wonderful lime green side table/magazine holder. Functional, colorful, and fun. What more could a girl want?

Lust me!

Credit for my craving for this beauty must go to http://www.isuwanee.com/ for posting a similar find. I can see this against my turquoise wall, placed asymmetrically over a desk, as a focal point for my bird wall...

Lust me!

Reminiscent of all things Anthropologie, how could I not fall instantly, irrevocably in lust?? I think I need it - I'll buy it, and find somewhere for it in my parents' house, and then one day, when I have my own ginormous house, I'll place it in a spotlight of honor.

Lust me!

Oh, beautiful blue Hollywood Regency bench, how you tease me so! I can picture you sitting prettily against my wall, peering coquettishly at me with those deep blue dimples.

Deal hunting...Costa Rica

In preparation for my upcoming trip to Costa Rica, I am feverishly hunting for deals and trying to plan out my itinerary, while also trying to fit in some less touristy destinations. Not as easy as it sounds, since Costa Rica is a tourist haven. It's amazing how most of the hotels are owned by gringos!

I've listed below some of my finds, just hotels so far. I prefer to find my "activities" deals on the ground.

Arenal:
Treehouse Hotel
Observatory Lodge
Cerro Chato Eco Lodge

Monteverde:
Terra Viva

Osa Peninsula:
Las Coletas Lodge

To get to Osa Peninsula from San Jose:
Osa Shuttle - Roundtrip flight usually costs upwards of $200, whereas taking this private shuttle is less than $100/person
